Humberto (Bert) Freire

Biography

Having studied finance in college, Bert moved from his home in Puerto Rico to Chicago in 2025 to pursue a career in wealth management. Specifically, Bert was most interested in transaction advisory in the M&A space: helping companies navigate a merger or acquisition in a way that's most financially beneficial to them.

He met Natasha through networking. A mutual friend who also works in valuations at a different company introduced them, and soon Bert was working at Insight FVS.

Business valuations are complicated, and as far as Bert is concerned, the more complicated, the better. He loves digging into the numbers and figuring out what drives the value of a company, as well as its strengths and weaknesses.

Not only does Bert love doing the work, but he understands the importance of doing it well. He knows if his work is being used in litigation, it can affect the outcome of the case, which could have a huge impact on the lives of the people involved.

When he's not digging into a company's financials, Bert enjoys going to the gym, playing soccer, and hanging out with his dog.
