Michelle Coleman
Executive Assistant and Communications Strategist
Keeping communication moving between clients, analysts, and firm leadership, so every project runs smoothly.
Biography
Michelle started at Insight FVS by doing some part-time communications work for the firm, but as the firm has grown, so has her role. As Michelle has started taking on more executive administrative and operational responsibilities, she has gone back to her roots as someone who started in international supply chain management.
Michelle's first professional life was in a corporate environment, helping major retailers manage their global supply chain.
When she had her kids, she left the corporate world to do more freelance work that would give her the flexibility she needed to take care of her kids. She developed a specialty in small business communications, especially website and social media.
When she was exploring the idea of getting back into the workforce full time, she came across an opportunity to work at ENE (now Insight FVS).
She started as a contractor helping Natasha with the website content and the firm's LinkedIn presence, but pretty soon she was taking on executive administration responsibilities. She talked it over with Natasha, explaining how her background in the corporate world could be used to support the firm as it grows. They ended up fusing the communications and executive administration roles and Michelle went full time with the company in January of 2026.
Since then, Michelle has become the central coordination for communication between clients, analysts, and firm leadership. She is the one who makes sure everything is moving smoothly through every aspect of every project that comes through the door at Insight FVS.
Michelle loves sitting at the nexus of everything in a growing firm because it means she gets to interact with all kinds of people from all walks of life in a variety of contexts.
Michelle is very excited to continue growing with Insight FVS and to see how she can support the firm as its needs evolve. She's very flexible and curious to see where life takes her.
That adventurous spirit shouldn't come as a surprise when you know Michelle is a woman of the world who loves to travel. She was born and raised in Germany, but moved to the United States in 2006. Her dad is American and her mom is German.
Michelle's husband is American and she moved to the Chicago area with him in 2012. They now have two daughters and a small, but mighty Pomeranian.
When she's not working, Michelle enjoys working out, especially pilates, and any exercise she can do in nature. She also loves live music and traveling. Her favorite place to visit was Damascus in Syria, which she visited before war broke out there, so she's especially glad she got to see an era that's now long gone.
