Biography
Natasha Perssico Escobedo, MBA, CPA, ASA-BV, ASA-ARM, is the Founder and Managing Partner of Insight Forensic & Valuation Services, a forensic accounting and business valuation firm serving clients nationwide. With more than 25 years of experience in accounting, valuation, financial analysis, and litigation consulting, she provides clients and counsel with insight, clarity, and credible financial analyses and opinions in complex and contested matters. Natasha serves as both a consulting and testifying expert in litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
Her practice includes business valuation, forensic accounting, and financial analysis in shareholder and partnership disputes, marital dissolution, fraud and financial investigations, bankruptcy and solvency matters, and economic damages. She is frequently engaged in matters involving closely held businesses, disputed financial information, complex ownership structures, and transactions that require detailed analysis of the underlying economic and financial activity.
Natasha is particularly experienced in matters where business valuation and forensic accounting intersect. These engagements may require analysis of normalized earnings, owner compensation and distributions, personal and nonrecurring expenses, related-party transactions, intercompany activity, incomplete or inconsistent records, and the economic rights and attributes associated with an ownership interest. Her work is focused on developing clear, well-reasoned analyses that explain both the financial activity at issue and its potential effect on value.
In addition to litigation-related engagements, Natasha provides business valuation services for gift and estate planning and tax compliance, succession and business planning, and other noncontroversial valuation purposes. She also provides transaction advisory services to buyers, sellers, and business owners evaluating potential transactions, including analysis of financial performance, earnings quality, value, and transaction-related financial considerations.
Natasha is a Certified Public Accountant and an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers, with accreditation in Business Valuation and Appraisal Review and Management. She earned an MBA with honors in forensic accounting from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a BS in Accounting, with honors, from the University of Tampa. She has served as Chair of the American Society of Appraisers Chicago Chapter's Business Valuation Committee and has taught accounting as adjunct faculty at Roosevelt University and DePaul University.
Outside of her professional practice, Natasha serves on the Leader Council of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, where she supports fundraising and strategic initiatives that advance the organization's mission.
